Much can be said about being in the right place at the right time.  In fact, this is what creating wildlife images is all about.

One ‘right place at the right time’ played out several days ago when down on the beach park at low tide.

Just happened to come upon a juvenile Great Blue Heron wading amongst a cadre of Mallard Ducks in Des Moines Creek. 

The shallow depth of the creek and the light at my back provided opportunity to create these images.

Having the freedom of various options for positioning and the patience of my subject matter made for enjoyable creation.
